First, to get it out of the way, looking at the performance advice
section of the WFX config, the message indicates that my system supports
all features (paraphrased).

Current issues:

Minimize / restore animations only work on primary screen of multiple
monitor setup. Minimizing or restoring on the secondary screen does
nothing (just a normal min and restore).

Window dragging animations do not work at all. They demonstrate fine in
the try it test in the config dialog, but they do not actually work on
normal windows.

Menu animations only work when the menu is closing. Opening the menu,
regardless of the animation effect, just causes it to show up normally,
but the effect is applied when the menu closes.

Window tiles, using the shift-minimize method, minimize to tile works
fine, restoring to normal, using right click to restore (the only method
that works for me) causes the window to restore with a corrupted (or no)
title bar and window border. Not sure if this is part of the per-pixel
problem with right click to tile, but I can tile just fine, just not
restore from tile worth a fig.

Also, when tiling a window, the tiling process causes the desktop
background to flake out a bit (it looks as if part of the bitmap is
anchored at one anchor point, and the rest is anchored at some other
point), causing it to look part of the background is overlapped and
offset from the rest of the background.

I've also noticed that I cannot select the 'Run WindowFX at Startup'
checkbox. I'm guessing that it may be inactive for now (although it does
not appear to be disabled in the normal manner of a disabled window
control).

I've had one BSOD so far during a minimize/restore animation.

That's all I've found so far.

On the good side, performance definitely seems to be improved, and the
config dialog is nicely done. The minimize/restore animations work very
well (on the primary screen anyway).

All in all, a good start, hopefully, there's a good load of fixes in the
pipeline :o)

I noticed this also and glad its not just me lol. I would guess this is
because its a beta and want to get things working right before doing
it on startup.

I've found that the window dragging animations will work on
non-per-pixel skins. Even then, the dragging animation does not work on
the secondary monitor. Since the release notes specify that the
semi-transparent window dragging feature does not work with per-pixel
skins, that would imply that the other animations should work.

As for menu animations, I still see no animation on opening the menu,
and the animation working when the menu is closed, but additionally, I
notice that on the primary monitor, the menu animation is smooth and
free of artifacts, but on the secondary monitor, the animation is
occasionally jerky, and there are some graphic artifacts on the menu
background while the animation is in progress.
